Who we are
Jonny and Mary bought Ridge House in the winter of 2017. Despite the lack of central heating and leaky roof they moved in in time for Christmas.
Full of youthful enthusiasm, they spent the next 7 years slowly and carefully renovating their forever home. They grew their family from just two humans and two cats, to include a dog, a baby, and then another one in fairly quick succession.
The house doubled in size to accommodate their growing family and once the insulation, double glazing and central heating were installed it slowly started to become the cosy family home they’d envisioned all those years ago.
Jonny is a traditional timber framer and almost everything in the house has been made by him - from the timber panelled walls to the kitchen worktops, oak light mounts and copper loo roll holders.
Mary’s background is in conservation of historic buildings and she has a passion for interior decoration. Together they have transformed Ridge House into a beautiful, cosy, warm home.
